Hyperpigmentation

Can hyperpigmentation be cured?

At AMP clinic a combination of treatments may be recommended to improve the appearance of melasma, it is important to note that these may take time to show signs of gradual improvement and often a long-term maintenance programme is recommended. We may recommended any of the following chemical peels, microdermabrasion, prescriptive topical formulations from Cerepharma, Image or Neostrata, as well as retinol based treatments and mineral based makeup.

Top tips for self care:

Protect your skin from sun exposure and avoid the use of sunbeds.

When choosing a sunscreen look for those with an SPF of 30 or more, we recommend Heliocare. It is important to remember that sunscreens should not be used as a clothing substitute and should be reapplied every 2 hours when out in the sun.
